Thanks for stopping by my WW earlier today!

    I will excercise for comments!!

  7. That can’t be a natural formation, can it?

  8. Steph says:

No, it’s not natural, it’s a stunning megalithic stone circle on the Western Isles of Scotland. It’s one of our favourites, we were last there when I was carrying the twins – must go back soon.

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by.

Of course, when my wife was dropping links in, she could have told you to look at more photos on my website: Bigstone-Stone Circles Of The UK.

    Thanks dear! ;-)

  11. R's Musings says:

Wow! Stunning! I’ll have to check the links you suggested. I’d love to go there someday.

  12. Starrlight says:

That is cool, I love stone circles in general. I so wish I could have gone closer to Stonehenge.

  13. Chris says:

Callanish IS fantastic. You can wander through it & lay against a stone all day or night if you so choose.

Come to Aberdeenshire: We’re the other side of Scotland from Callanish, but we have over 200 stone circles in the county. I drive past 2 on the way to the supermarket!

  14. Claire says:

I have been there, its absolutley Gorgeous! My sister lives in Brora.
    Cheers
    Claire

  15. I would love so much to go back in time and see what civilizations were like in their prime!

Beautiful! For so little said, it speaks volumes. Thanks!

  18. Fabulous photo Chris! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

PPP is great – I try to write 2 ads per day and average $10 – $12 a day (which is $10 to $12 more than I would have had doing nothing but blogging!).

I haven’t found a downside yet – and the money is just about to start coming in day after tomorrow. How much better can it get – a few bucks trickling into MY account every day…sure beats it going the other way.

Hope you join when you’re ‘old’ enough – hahahaha!

  19. Dragonheart says:

    Beautiful! Gorgeous photo.

  20. Chris says:

    Cheers Heather…you old fogey ;-)

Thanks everyone – if you ever get the chance, go because my photo doesn’t do it justice. Must go back…

  21. Bob! says:

  23. Chris says:

Hi Bob – where are you based? Don’t forget Aberdeenshire as well – mountains, beaches, the city, stone circles…. a photographers paradise!

Hi Osman, you have a cool blog. Come back for Thursday 13 & the Saturday photo hunt as well!

  24. What a great photo Chris. Mine is up too. I think I’ll take part in Thursday 13.

  25. Chris says:

On my way Rose – You were my 800th comment – thanks!

  26. Linda says:

Wow – that is so COOL! I would love to go there and see that in person some day.

  27. Tricia says:

That’s a gorgeous photo! It’s so moody. I love it.

You should check out my photoblog sometime if you aren’t aware of it yet- http://feverishthoughts.com/photo/ Judging by the photos I’ve seen on your site I think you should start a photoblog too!

    Fantastic

  28. they seem to be getting smaller . . . .

  29. Chris says:

Hi Tricia: this was going to be a part-photoblog once, but I got sidetracked…. Might look into Flickr or something (so many websites, so little time…)

Michelle: The central stone is around 15-20ft high from memory, with the others around 8-10ft. The ancients were geniuses at optical tricks and alignments. Check out the links under ‘Stones’ in my sidebar for photos of hundreds more sites.

  30. Asara says:

That is way cool.. brought back memories of my favorite vaca ever, when I got to go to England, and see Stonehenge. One of the best times of my life!!! And my WW is a picture of another…

  31. Antonette says:

Sorry for getting here a day late. Anyhow, what I thought your photo was…was not. Regardless, it is a beautiful pic!

  32. Chris says:

    Do tell Antonette….

Asara: Saw the photo this morning: :-)
