What A Tool
I’m not exactly a DIY fanatic, but I have a toolbox (I am a man after all) and I occasionally like to take the tools out and look at them. Taking up cycling has given me the opportunity to buy new, different, tools and occasionally take them out of the case and look butch whilst holding them.
Anyone, however, that has ever so much as put a nail in the wall will appreciate this list all about tools at Tony Rogers.com
Some favourite excerpts:
HACKSAW: One of a family of cutting tools built on the Ouija board principle: It transforms human energy into a crooked, unpredictable motion, and the more you attempt to influence its course, the more dismal your future becomes.
PLIERS: Used to round off hexagonal bolt heads.
PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER: Normally used to stab the lids of old-style paper-and-tin oil cans and squirt oil on your shirt; can also be used, as the name implies, to round off the interiors of Phillips screw heads.
Before women get too knowing, reading this, consider your own toolkits:

My husband was trying to “man open” a jar the other day, and not having much success. I took spoon out of the drawer, used the handle to break the seal on the jar and handed it back to him. Gee, it opened very easily then….
You just have to use the right tool for the job!
