Hope all of you had a good Christmas. We visited my Mum & sister on Christmas Eve, and Steph’s parents on Boxing Day, which meant that Christmas Day was just us and the boys, which is what we wanted.

Amazingly, they didn’t wake ’til 7 despite being hyper the night before, and were quite calm about the fact that a bearded stranger had deposited a sack load of presents in their room.? They soon warmed up though, and there was much frenzied ripping of paper and ‘wow’s’ and ‘how did Santa know I wanted that?’ We spent the morning in our pyjamas building Lego & putting Scalextric together (perfect presents for me!) before stuffing ourselves stupid for lunch.

We went for roast beef this year, with loads of veg, and everything on our plate came from less than 10 miles away. I love Scotland, and being surrounded by farms. A Spongebob DVD & ‘Cars’ to round off the evening and it was all very nice.

No snow this year, but several days of hard hoar frosts had left everything glistening white. Our first Scottish Christmas, and I look forward to many more (but if I have to re-build that Lego boat after another ‘accident’……)
