Always interesting to have a little perusal about where my random ramblings are ending up, this is my visitor breakdown of the last 2 weeks by country:

Visitors

Visitors

With the grey people being ‘others’ obviously, although Lord knows what people from China, Namibia etc. make of it. It’s kind a strange that there are less UK visitors than US in some respects, and indeed I’ve found it hard to find decent UK bloggers – there are exceptions of course, but I’m not sure blogging is so prevalent in the UK as it is in the US/Canada.

While we’re at it, have a look at the browser usage:

Browsers Browsers

Why are you all using IE????? And 70% of those are IE6 which is crazy. Get yourself a decent browser like Firefox, and see the modern web how it’s supposed to look – seriously IE6 just does not show websites correctly. Respect to the person using the Playstation Portable though :-)

Just realised going through my stats that visitor number 40,000 passed through yesterday, looking at the Birds & The bees cartoon below. Ah, the power of the internet, 40,000 people reading this drivel.

Thanks anyway :-D

IE6: infuriating isn’t it. I check most posts before I submit them, to make sure they show up okay in IE6.

Never checked Safari though, but apparently there’s a Safari for Windows now, so I might get that

actually I like IE…and have really never had any problems with it. I’ve tried Firefox…went back to IE.

I’ve been using Firefox for a while now, but it seems to be getting more prone to hang on me. This could be because I haven’t reinstalled Windows in over a year (I usually do it every 6 months because otherwise it really bogs down my old computer), or because I have to many extensions running.

Anyway, the point is: I was thinking of switching to Opera…

Ahh my country didn’t list down on your stat. btw, I’m using firefox rather than IE . I’m not used to IE anymore but still many people prefer to use IE as you stated your stat above

  5. My son the computer professional told me all the cool kids use Firefox and who doesn’t want to be a cool kid?

But I’m with you on the props to the person using the Playstation Portable. Come forward, please!

    And congrats on 40,000 hits.

  6. erika says:

Thats pretty interesting! I think you convinced me to use Firefox!

  7. Kai says:

Firefox is da bomb!!! It was probably you who convinced me to switch! I’ll NEVER go back!

Huh…. we Canucks are lacking in the visitor department eh?

  8. I use firefox at home. But, at work they can’t “watch us” if we don’t use IE so they took my firefox away from me. *sniff*

    US loves you!!! :)

  9. i wish everyone used the same browser, would make designing a lot easier! i always find netscape to be a pain, although it does have the option to view as ie, the view as firefox never seems to display like ff for some reason?

  10. Melissa says:

Never been aware of any IE problems, so I’ll stick with it until there is reason to switch. I’m all about familiarity :)

  11. webduck says:

Chris nagged me so much about using IE7, that I had to switch to FF. I really had to use FF mostly because of PayPerPost. I don’t know why people read your drivel either.

  12. Chris says:

IE sucks, end of story ;-)

  13. Claire says:

I wont take exception to being an exception!
