Play against the computer, or another human if you can find one - many happy hours at school were filled playing this during lessons. Nowadays, it probably wirelessly networked PSP’s under the desk. :roll:

Was it War Games, the movie, where a nasty computer was programmed to play this game, and when it found out it couldn’t actually win it self-destructed, rather than firing a nuclear warhead at Russia? (An old Matthew Broderick one if I remember correctly.)
I remember the film, but not the ending. Sounds plausible though
I remember being really impressed the way he had to put the receiver of the phone onto the modem, and could then hack into the defence computers - I think that was the year I asked for a computer for Christmas and got an Atari 2600 instead….
