Healthy eating is a subject that should be at the top of everyone’s list, and it is certainly something that is gaining in prominence in recent years. One of the most important constituents of healthy food identified recently are anti oxidants. These are thought to help reduce the chances of contracting cancer, Alzheimers disease and heart disease. Typically found in fruit and vegetables, particularly good sources have been identified as broccoli, spinach and a wide variety of berries including Goji Berries. These berries are said by some to be among the most nutritious foods on the planet, and they are thought to contain more anti oxidants than any of the vegetables listed above. They are typically grown in the Tibetan and Mongolian Himalayas, high above the pollution, and in the age-old way. They can also be purchased as seeds, along with the organic seaweed fertiliser necessary to grow them. They can be eaten dried, or consumed as juice, much like other berries such as cranberry. They are reputed to assist in a healthy diet, and and reduce the risk of disease. Li Quen Yuen ate them every day and was reported to have been 252 years old when he died - how reliable this information is has not been reported!!
