I first came across Bob’s Odder Blog via Skittles, and both now reside on my blogroll. Humour, sarcasm and irony are his self-confessed strong points for the odder blog and thats fine with me. Well worth a read. Bob has now started a new blog, and it could be very interesting indeed…
The Blog Experiment is just that: an experiment to start a blog from the ground up, drive traffic to it, build it’s rank, and basically see how far it can go.
I have built small businesses from the ground up. I have had success and failure. As the days passed, the question I began to ask myself was this: “What would happen if one applied basic business principals to blogging?”
What’s in it for you? Well, there’s always something new to learn, and when it comes to blogs & traffic this could be the place for it. There’s a million & one sites trying to sell you the answer to blog success (and that’s a relative term)? but this could be a “co-operative learning area for bloggers who want to earn a buck in this medium.” Bob will post his successes & failures, and is encouraging comments from us to the same end. We could all learn something from this.
So, please have a read, and if you like it, link to it from your blog-but only if you like it. This is not an internet stunt, but a genuine attempt to build a blog up from the ground. Blogging is a community, and we can all help each other gain whatever level of success we crave - if you like a site, link to it, comment on it, take part in it. To that end, I will also Stumble the Blog Experiment because I am genuinely interested in it, and want to share with others-I hope it boosts site traffic.
What do I want from my blog? I’ve already got some of it: I have some new friends I didn’t have a month ago, and I hope to gain more. It may only be through a keyboard, but it’s cool to chat to? different people around the world. The small ads I have on the site will hopefully one day pay me enough just to run the hosting on my sites-anything else would be a nice bonus, but it’s not what I’m here for.

I really don’t know what I want from my blog. I guess feedback on my posts. But If I didn’t get it, i’d still be goin’ at it!
