Ah, the eternal question, given that the bots are 5 now, 6 in November, when do you reckon I’ll get asked that doozy properly? I qualify that, because Pat has asked already, and received the semi-scientific answer which seemd to satisfy him for now. They already think girls are gross, so we may be safe for a bit.

It’s weird, I cannot remember this situation myself, perhaps I have repressed the memory? It’s not like my parents were ever underhand about such things, I just have no idea when I first became aware that….. you know zygotes & eggs and stuff ;-)

Can you remember when you found out?

    I was the oldest…and a science geek. I asked early on…and didn’t let up.

    “already” think girls are gross….laughing….

When my sister had Sex Ed in sixth grade at school, she came home and spilled the beans to my brother and I. Didn’t believe her at first, but with a few good books, I was able to verify her information and add a bit more detail.

Best of luck when you have “the talk” with your boys!

  3. I was a history major. So I never did find out. But after our fifth child came along we got a television set and things settled down…. or is that

    Maybe  ?

I was very matter-of-fact with our son, and talked about sex as it was appropriate for his age. I guess… :???: Even so, I left my copy of “It’s Your Body” around and he found it. Hmmmm…No pages stuck together though, when I got it back. He has two kids of his own now, and they are 6 and 7, so he will be having ‘the talk’ soon enough.
