Me! Hah!, how do you like them apples! Ahem, sorry about that, do excuse me.

But it’s true, No.1000 was me replying to Claire about PHP (like I know!), so the next comment left (999 was spam) by someone else after 1000 was..Claire! Saying she still didn’t get PHP… The proof:

Top Comments

So, what prize is most appropriate given her sterling comment efforts of the last 2 days? I think this says it all:

SPAM!

(I’ll try and think of something a bit nicer – feel free to make suggestions – Thanks to all those that comment, it really is the best bit about blogging for me, reading all your comments*)

*Perhaps I should get out more.

    Congrats Chris and Claire. :)

  2. Erika says:

    That stuff looks gross :-/

  3. Sunflower says:

    Congrats!
What wedget do you use to monitor this commenting thing? Is it part of WordPress functionalities?

    I will Exercise for Comments!
    Sunflower

  4. Chris says:

Erika, it is the Devils own foodstuff – ask Bob.

Sunflower, it is WordPress only..another reason to come join us ;-) There may be a widget out there for Blogger, but a quick Google didn’t find anything. I’ll keep looking.

Curms: I would say the same to you, given how you’ve shot up the ‘leaderboard’ today, but then I guess your front door’s frozen shut for 9 months of the year in Chicago? ;-)

  5. Hmmmmmmm.

No, I’m not frozen in — I’m working today, as you can tell by my prodigious output. Can’t you tell?

    No, I didn’t suppose so.

  6. Claire says:

Erm should i thank you for this? i would of preferred corn beef!
    Clairexxx

  7. Chris says:

    Hmm, corned beef &tomato chutney….

Anyway, anything I can give you blog/internet wise Claire? Seriously, I’d like to pass on a little prizette of some kind, but apart from a load of photos of Stone Circles, or porting your blog to WordPress I’m at a loss. Asbestos advice? (I used to be an asbestos consultant of all things…)

  8. Skittles says:

Hurray for you, the spammer and the wonderful Clair :)

  9. Claire says:

Oh are you being serious now?
Do you recommend using wordpress over blogger?

  10. Claire says:

Thanks Skittles (see someone loves me!)

  11. Chris says:

Me? A Spammer? :-( Going to cry now….

I can do serious occasionally Claire ;-) WordPress is sooo much better than Blogger it’s not even fair. Depends what you want to do with your blog. It would definitely stop spammers that’s for sure (Thank you for not using word verification though-I hate that!). I’m already in the process of assisting two people with the move to WordPress, let me know, my emails in the sidebar…

  12. Pinksy says:

are you recommended a hosted blog at wordpress.com, or downloading the code from worpress.org and hosting it themselves?

  13. Steph says:

Eeugh – that reminds me, my mum used to give me Spam sandwiches for lunch (I always suspected she hated me) ;op

  14. Chris says:

Spam, spam, spam spam etc. in a Monty Python stylee…

Self-hosted all the way Pinksy, I’ve only gone to wp.com for an API key… It’s possible to host a WP blog on free webspace (and I did until about 1st Jan) but it has been so worth the £35 spent on hosting – the blogs are so fast now :-)

  15. Claire says:

ooh hmmm, well i really like the way yours is set out and then i would be able to separate my counselling stuff from the more daft stuff (daft in a good way), then when i am qualified i would be more experienced in setting up something for business.
assist as in free, or assist as in spondoolies?
    Thanks for sensible moment!

  16. Chris says:

Hi Claire, I’m always happy to assist for free. You have to put up with ads & paid posts on here so…

Come on over to Blog-Op, have a read & take it from there. My email is everywhere, give me a shout when you’re ready & I’ll assist where I can.

  17. Claire says:

    Thanks for that chris!
I will now go back to spamming!lol!

  18. Chris says:

It’s what you do best Claire ;-)
