Well, we didn’t quite make it out to the hills, as we’re all still suffering the after effects of bloggers flu, so instead we thought we’d pop up the road to Fyvie Castle:

Fyvie Castle

It’s reputed to be one of the most haunted castles in Europe, but as it’s closed for the winter, we took a walk through the grounds instead. The woods were carpeted with Snowdrops:

It was a lovely hour’s walk through the woods and around the Loch. Of course, I say walk but with 5 year old twins in tow, it was a tad faster than that:

Pat & Tom nearly fulfilled their misson of throwing everything that wasn’t nailed down into the loch, but were finally thwarted when we reached the end that was frozen.

Mind you, it assisted me in skimming stones all the way across :-) We finished up with the first outdoor picnic of the year and an hours football and frisbee on the lawn. We pretty much had the place to ourselves as well which was nice. Back home for a roast dinner, and Stephs rather tasty Blueberry jam and buttercream spongecake, meant the boys went to bed stuffed, tired and happy - the way 5 year olds should be!

How was your Sunday?

Ha, nice post Chris. It’s always good to get a personal insight into the people behind blogs.

Me? I was due to meet an old flatmate at 3pm for a coffee, but her boyfriend was stressed with his upcoming kickboxing fight, so he nagged at her and they ended up going to Portobello beach for fresh air instead. So, after my lie in with the girlfriend she took off to her Edinburgh flat while I did a little Sunday work. Boo. We went out at about 4pm for pub grub, then drinks, then the alcohol got to us and it all ended with some indecent exposure at the top of Calton Hill, which was fun :) I hadn’t done that before.

Now I’m just catching up on my feed reader before bed.

That’s a great photo of the twins by the way.
