Stone Circle Solstice
So how was the longest day for you? As Pinksy says, the night’s are drawing in, and we’re on the downhill slope to winter and Christmas
It would be nice if we could have summer first though please….
Steph had had the day off from work to watch the boys School Sports in the morning (Tom cheated with grace and élan to win the ‘tattie & spoon’ race) so we picked the boys up from school and popped over to East Aquhorthies stone circle:
This site has been there around 5000 years, and the setting is perfect: surrounded by hills, and with views to the mountain of Mither Tap, it was quiet, sunny and warm and we had the place to ourselves. The boys raced around, and we just lazed in the sun….
The photo was taken 2 years ago to the day, when we were on holiday in Scotland, and still lived down in England, with no plans to move at all. How things can change in a short space of time….

Nice if we could have a summer? It would be nice if we could have a break in the rain for once!

You know how they say it rains all the time in WA state…? Well, not much lately. We could use a good million dollar rain right now. And why did you move to Scotland? Inquiring minds want to know.
