This may be a sponsored post, but this site does look genuinely interesting to me: Sci-Edge. It’s a new social networking site, with a focus on real science and technology - you can do all the normal things you’d expect with this kind of site, only with a bit more intelligence - as they say themselves, think ‘MySpace’ but with brains!
It looks really cool, it’s free to join, and once a member you can set up your own page, engage in discussions, play games and loads more, all in an atmosphere focused on science & technology.
An added, but far from compulsory, feature of the site is the ability to make money through them: They’ll pay you to write blog posts about their family of science education websites, which you can earn cash from, along with standard affiliate sale etc. The site is so new, the bubble wrap’s still on, and the first members through the door have the chance to really make their mark - It’s free to sign up, so if science is your thing, why not give it a try?
