Well, well ,well. All of you have Sadspace accounts & no-one’s clicked on my ‘find me on myspace’ tab on the left and invited me to be their friend. Tells me all I need to know!!!

Seriously, it has its good points, but all in all I think it’s just more fun with a blog/webpage that you have full control over. And definitely have the speakers off (Unless you visit my page of course, that’s good music).

i created a myspace account for the bar i work at. it’s in a college town, and with the bulletins and such it provides decent free advertising. of course, after i got that going, all of the employees made pages so we could be on our bars ‘top friends’ list.
it’s been fun, but only in a oh my gos, we are huge dorks, isn’t it fun, though? sort of way.
the bonus is that i have two high school age sisters who i’d never really been close to–we are so far apart in age that we never even lived under the same roof–but, through myspace, we started ‘talking’ more, and i’m getting to know them rather well.
so, that’s awesome.

p.s.
if you remember to turn your speakers down before you visit, myspace becomes far less aggravating.
it still sucks to the point of being humorous, of course.
but it’s withstandable.

I still can’t get my head around the concept of a site where, effectively, you can add whoever you want as “your friend” and they do likewise - irrespective of whether you like them, talk to them, or even know them.

To prove such a point, I recently added Mr Blobby to mine.

I’m on myspace, I really only go on there so i could keep in contact w/ my sisters…. and see their pics and what not. but now I have a whole lot of highschool friends on there, who previously couldn’t get on Facebook(it used to only be for collegeS). But over all blogging is the best, facebook is great too, then myspace….

Can’t disagree with either of you (curses!) MySpace is short for ‘My First Web Space’ I’m sure & should be marketed by Fisher Price.

I started a myspace page around the same time I did blogging. I found it to be awkward, frustrating and ugly. Blogging is SO much better.

LOL. I have a myspace but on the page it says I don’t use myspace. I had to open an account so I could view One friend, One Aunt and One Cousin on there. God I hate it. The pages are so tacky and annoying. Whats with the crap music. I might just add a bunch of fake friends to physic them out though. LOL. I can’t stand it.
