In the UK many years ago a horrible little car named the Reliant Robin was made. Three wheels, made of fibreglass they were truly an abortion of automotive engineering.
Recently, Top Gear, a UK motoring show decided to turn one into a space shuttle, fire it thousands of feet into the air, separate it from the boosters and tanks & glide it back to a landing. It nearly worked….

Top Gear’s a classic show.
I saw that episode. it was awesome. their rocket did amazingly well. I didn’t actually expect them to get it very far off the ground without it completely falling to pieces in ways they didn’t intend for it to, or crashing back down straight away.
But for those explosive bolts, it could have worked!
