We nearly had to swim for it!
Today was the day of Steph’s charity run for cancer research, and it was a scorching soaking June day in Scotland, the rain was going sideways, it was freezing cold and I’ve honestly felt warmer in January.
But she made it to the end, and even broke into a run at the finish
Seriously, it was an evil day weather wise, and everyone was soaked to the skin and frozen solid.
Still, the important thing was the money, and she beat her figure of last year, £180, by raising £215 (Over $400) so far and a big thanks must go to all who contributed including the very generous Claire, Pinksy, Kathryn and Melissa – Thanks guys.
Here’s a picture of the triumphant runner with her two biggest supporters:

Yay Steph you made it! Picture evidence too, ok I’ll let you keep the money then.
thank her from California. And CONGRATS!
Congrats from Canada too!
Well done! The kids must be very proud of mum!
Congrats Steph!
Great pictures, and congratulations to Steph!
If I even imagine myself running more than ten paces I get a painful stitch in my side, so you really have my admiration.
All right, ignore the crazy italics. I obviously don’t know what I’m doing. Oh, I see my error now, but what I don’t see is the handy delete-and-try-again button.
She did well
I think I’ve fixed your italics Melissa, I can’t get the ‘edit comments’ thingy to work on here
Well bloody done for steph!!!!!!!
I did 17 miles on saturday, it was half of the sandstone trail and i nearly died.
I was thinking about you on the 24th Steph. Good going, and nice to see a picture of you and the boys (minus the ‘old boy’ of course!LOL
). Job well done Steph.
Thanks everyone – the weather was appalling, and I’m afraid I only managed a time of 36 minutes – in training I’d managed 22, but the combination of a strong headwind, driving rain, and dodging the Greenpeace nets cost me!
Having limped back from the doctors this morning, I managed to give myself a stress fracture too! Anyone want to give a sympathy donation??
Seriously though, I raised a fantastic amount of money for Cancer Research UK, and I couldn’t have done it without your generous support – so THANK YOU!!
No sympathy here!
Nice photo too, you look great, I’d have been totally bedraggled!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Doctors, Much sympathy for you, hope you are well recovered now.
