Which leads of course, direct to Penny Bridge:

All the work of Mitch Fincher, who uses the power of pennies and basic physics to show what you can do with cantilevers. If that means nothing to you, just visit the site & look at the pictures; they are amazing, and as Mitch says, building these structures is a fantastic study avoidance mechanism.

Always handy to learn another avoidance mechanism
Whoever said I had too much time on my hands to put the James Bond’s Outbox post together should see this
I am going to Penny lane this week for a drink with mates
Hey, I had a British vocab question for you. What does ‘wotcher’ mean?
a shortened form of “what cheer!” An exclamation; used as a greeting, especially between friends. Used mainly in London, England. Also spelled “Wotcha”.
Or wotcher up to: What are you up to.
Hey. Thanks a lot.
I never knew that Claire. Heard the term, didn’t know it’s history.
Hey Pinksy, saw CR last night, not too bad. However, Bond came across as a Psycho and the product placement was just a tad heavy, but still worth the money.
call yourself a Brit Chris! shame on ya!
It apparently confused a lot of Americans in the Harry Potter books.
I probably used ‘wotcha’ in the 70′s when it was in daily use, but I never knew where it came from.
I could really make a comment about your second point but I won’t….
Off you go then
hey I wish I had that much money. lol
That’s where I saw it, in the HP book. Thanks again.
Re CR – would definitely agree with you on the product placement. Far too much Sony/Ericsson going on
Was it Sony? I hadn’t noticed…..
Really, all that kind of thing does is put me of the product…. though I wouldn’t say no the Aston….
