Ninja Warrior

The Japanese are not only mad, they’re double hard so & so’s a swell as this game show proves: Ninja Warrior.

Those of you in the UK can pick it up on Challenge TV where the undead Stuart Hall provides classic commentary reminiscent of It’s a Knockout from your dim & distant youth. In this clip Mr Octopus enters his 6th tournament never having got past the first stage - can he make it this time? If you catch the full programme you’ll see some genuinely fit people climbing sheer ledges supported only by their fingertips and such like: it’s enough to make me go to the kitchen for another beer……

I kinda feel sorry for this guy. Such a strong desire “to become a ninja” on his age is either a first sign of senility or a desperate marketing move for his business.Whichever it is- it’s pitiful.

Somehow it reminds me on Shitoshi Castle (I do not remember the name much, sorry, but was something like that). It was a great fun to watch:-). People there went against walls (some of them were from paper and some from wood, but you never knew until you hit it:-)), some balls were thrown at them and so… As I think about it, maybe it was cruel fun…
I do not know what is this saying about Japanese. Maybe that they can make fun of them selves and definitely that they aren’t afraid of pain :-)

Thanks to Veronica who is responsible for my laugh when I was watching Human Tetris  . It’s a fantastic show  . The Ninja Warrior is good, but Human Tetris is much better in my opinion. A must-see!
