Nice One Lewis – Ferrari Get A Little Premature
Posted by Chris in TV, tags: grand prix, lewis hamiltonWhile I’m a long way from a rabid Formula 1fan, I’ve been a long-time viewer and can well remember Nigel Mansell’s tyre exploding in a shower of sparks depriving him of a world title many years ago.
So it was nice to see Britain produce a new Formula 1 World Champion today, at only 23 Lewis Hamilton, racing for McLaren, became the youngest ever, and the first Briton since 1996 to take the title.
You can enjoy the final two laps in the video below, or if you just enjoy a touch of schadenfreude then fast forward to around 2:15 where you’ll see the moment where, in the midst of leaping around celebrating, Ferrari realise that they didn’t actually win the title after all. Happy days.

Actually I don’t like Ferrari or Massa, but I feel pretty sorry for him. He won more races that Lewis and proved all his critics wrong and lost by 1 point. Maybe I’m getting soft…

I’ve never liked Ferrari for some reason, grew up following Williams (for obvious reasons) and their demise to also-rans is pretty sad.
I’m telling you, If they keep messing up like this, they might consider appointing Usain Bolt as one of their engineers…
