Learn About Vonage [P]

I had heard about Vonage, but didn’t know too much about it other than it was a way of using the internet to make calls and save money. Well a useful site for information is the Vonage-Forum.com site which is packed full of information. The FAQ isĀ  a good place to start, if you’re new to the idea of Vonage and VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol). I learnt that you can keep your normal number in most cases, use 911 as with ordinary phones, and even that you do not need your PC switched on to make calls. I wasn’t aware of this, but Vonage send you a box that you plug into your telephone socket, and then your telephone into the box, and that’s it. Clever stuff.

The forums are packed full of threads on all aspects of the service, and it looks to me that if you have a question about Vonage, the answer can be found here.
