This is a cool idea: PetiteHandsAndFeet.Com. These guys take an impression of your childs hands or feet, and then turn the raw clay in to a keepsake that will last all of their lives. The items are all hand made, fired twice and glazed with a wide range of colours.Designs include: Butterfly, Turtle, Fat Bunny, Froggy, Gold Fish, Dinosaurs (would be popular with my boys!), Elephant, Boot, Baseball, Football, Heart and even in the shape of Texas! Gift certificates are available, and there’s some nice photos to check out on their website. Petite Hands And feet are currently only available in the Houston area, but another excellent idea they offer is a house party - this could be a brilliant occasion where your children & their friends all get the chance to squidge their hands or feet into some clay, and the parents will get something to treasure of the moment. In addition, as the host, you can choose an item worth $35! They grow so fast, and when I look back at my boys baby shoes, compared to the huge things they wear now, I wonder where the time has gone! Prices range from $20 to $35, so there should be something to suit everyone.
