It applies more to the internet in general for me, rather than just Wikipedia, bit I know what he means..

And my Younger Daughter was saying that her teachers told her not to use Wikipedia because it’s not “reliable.” Because entries can be changed. (Especially when prompted by certain shows on Comedy Central that Oldest Son seems to think are funny.)
I told her I use it every single day. And I’m now seeking “to wiki” — to look up on Wikipedia — coming into use as a verb.
It’s true of any source-cross reference it with others before you use it..
