No, not quite like that, although some days it’s tempting. It’s a very useful piece of free (is there any other kind?) software that enables you to find out just about anything on your PC: System Information for Windows.

It doesn’t require full installation,  and can be run direct from a memory key for example, making it useful for troubleshooting different computers in different locations. Amongst other things it can tell you saved passwords for various applications, hardware info, operating system and patch info and running services etc. Rather useful if you’re trying to track down a problem, have lost a password, or are just interested in what’s under the hood.
