Boot sales are massively popular here in the UK, as a way of disposing of things you don’t need anymore for cash, and now iBootSale has had the brilliant idea of putting them online.
Now this isn’t just another auction site, there’s some clever twists here that make it just like a boot sale. As a seller you rent your ‘pitch’ which enables you to offer a certain number of items all for a flat fee and for a set amount of time. There are no other fees at all! You set your price, but buyers are allowed to ‘haggle’, and between you, you work out a price to suit both parties. A really cool idea.
Even better right now, is that iBootSale is offering a totally FREE 25 item pitch for 90 days to new users. Simply sign up and sell your items for free over the next 3 months. You can of course upgrade to a larger pitch if you wish. There are already thousands of items listed, most with photos and the site looks to be ticking along nicely. It’s a great idea and immediately looks more attractive to me than these auction sites…. Hmm, wonder if I can find any bargains on there now?
