Has It Really Been A Week?
Whoops, where has the time gone? Can’t believe it’s been 6 days since I was last here.
It’s half-term in Scotland, meaning I have the boys at home for 18 days…… oh, joy! So this week, Steph’s taken a few days off and we’ve been eating walking our way around the autumnal landscapes of Aberdeenshire.
I’ll put up a few more pics later, but for now, here’s the eating, from the Old Station cafe in Ballater:

Afternoon tea, and yes, she did eat it all herself (kidding!)
And here’s Brodie Castle, where the cream tea was out of this world:
I don’t think it’s unfair to say: Burp.
Not sure where we’re eating tomorrow, I’ll keep you informed ![]()

You’ve been missed.
“Half term” is not familiar to me. Why such a long break before the actual holidays?

Thanks Curmudgeon
It’s a strange, yet traditional phrase in the UK. The British school year is divided into 4 terms with a 6 week summer holiday and three 2 week holidays (Autumn half-term, Christmas & Easter) dividing them up. Why it’s called ‘half-term’ I’ve no idea…..

You really know how to torture us! No, I don’t mean you being away for a week..
I could just drink in that photo with the food and the pretty face smiling behind it.
I just wish I was there to partake of it with you all. I promise to keep my burping to myself.

There’s no doubt that tea is one of the more civilised meals that you can enjoy
