Float Like A Cannonball

If you thought that dreadful song had a crap analogy, you ain’t heard nothing yet: Worst Analogies Ever…

Classics include:

  • The thunder was ominous-sounding, much like the sound of a thin sheet of metal being shaken backstage during the storm scene in a play.
    – Barbara Fetherolf, Alexandria
  • Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever.
    – Unknown
  • Her hair glistened in the rain like nose hair after a sneeze.
    – Chuck Smith, Woodbridge

Way to go Chuck! :-)

Sort of related, and I’m going to write this up someday… The RIDICULOUS lyrics to the Killers “Somebody Told Me”.

Breaking my back just to know your name
Seventeen tracks and I’ve had it with this game
I’m breaking my back just to know your name
But heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Anything goes but don’t blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain’t close in a place like this
I said heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I’d let a rumour ruin my moonlight

So lame I don’t know where to start.

Lyrics are irrelevant when it’s ‘art’ Pinksy.

I actually kind of liked the second one. (Even the third one isn’t bad if you can get past the eeeeeeewwwww factor….)

I am tempted to transcribe some of the godawful text in that Eragon book (the one written by a teen and turned into a bestseller and MOVIE???)….oooooh the writing is sooooo painful

aargh I’m going to have that song stuck in my head now. It’s got that annoying repetetiveness that makes it oh so perfect for that sort of thing. sigh. At least I have my MP3 player at work. And wow.. nose hair. I’m speechless over that one!
