What's blue & yellow and full of shit?

A carrier bag from Lidl....

There was a time I could recite the full menu of the Beefeater restaurant, and the excitement engendered one time in my colleague and I when we sat down to realise it had changed, was really quite pathetic.

Ah, halcyon days.

Halcyon does mean f***ing horrible doesn't it?

The BP in Leatherhead used to have a good Pick 'n' Mix bit, but now it's gone. Now I'm genuinely excited that they're building a new Lidl store next to the Travelodge. Shoot me now.

Oh God, when I saw him staggering up the side of a dual carriageway, and getting food from a petrol station, I thought "This is getting too much like my actual life..."

I hear you... Actually my job's fairly satisfying, but can be a bit all-consuming sometimes. Don't talk to me about Travelodges and the like - I'm like Alan Partridge I stay in the south-east that often...

You have my sympathy, having to schlep up and down the Midland Mainline

As I now stay at home with the boys, I have time to do this, as long as I clear some of the rubbish out of the way of the front door, and throw some food at the children occasionally.

Back end of 2005, we were both sick of our jobs, I was fed up with 4-5 nights a week in the Travelinn, Steph saw her dream job up here in Aberdeen so we went for it.

Cut our income in half, but life is so much better for it. A little more cash wouldn't go amiss though, hence the paid posts.

Life is too short to spend doing a crap job...
