Easter Break 2
Following on from my other post, day 2 of our little break was spent up in Pitlochry. We’ve stayed here many times before, and we have some favourite walks around the valley and loch that we re-visited today. We started off in Blackspout Wood:
I took a lovely photo here a couple of years ago and just about managed to repeat it this time, although there is a lot less foliage!
This is a lovely walk around the wood, taking you past the Black Spout waterfall which I will be showing on Autofocused for Wordless Wednesday this week, across the fields to the Edradour distillery, all the while with the mountain of Ben Vrackie in the distance:
The walk took us back into town, before we walked out past the hydro-electric dam, and round a small part of Loch Faskally, before crossing over the footbridge for a picnic at the boathouse. It was so sunny we actually managed to get sunburnt!
All this walking was very hot work, so protesting boys were dragged into town for a cooling ice-cream. Tom went for chocolate and thoroughly enjoyed it:
Cleaning him up wasn’t so easy! Perhaps we should have thrown him in the loch

Hey!
Don’t worry my sisters fella is a trucker and regularly goes to Aberdeen so will send him round to scare you!
Gullivers world is great for little kids up to about 9/10, so your spudlets would love it!
Will post about it when i get pictures off sister.

Thanks Rav, I was amazed how similar the 2 wood photos turned out.
Look forward to them Claire. (The photos, not the trucker)
