Driving is one of those essential skills of life that we take for granted sometimes, forgetting that it is a complex skill to learn and a privilege that shouldn’t be abused. No matter how long you’ve been driving, you can always get better, or take steps to make your trips out safer, and these two products from VAT19 can really assist with that.

First up is the AAA emergency car kit which is an essential piece of gear to stow in the trunk of your car. This kit contains over 60 useful items to help you through common auto emergencies. These include jumper cables, a small first aid kit, screwdrivers, duct tape, poncho (ever tried changing a wheel in the rain?) and much more.

VAT19 also offer the Drivers Education DVD by Rules Of The Road. This informative, interactive DVD contains over an hour and a half of lessons, explanations, quizzes and more to assist the new driver in appreciating and making the most of this new skill. If you’re paying for child to learn to drive, be sure to include this DVD as well.

Two useful products from a very useful website.

This is a paid post.

  1. And you even said trunk of the car when talking about a AAA product. Not boot. Very, very good.

Or do you have a translator widget rigged up?

What I want is a product that will get my car home in one piece even with a teenager behind the wheel…. One suggestion that might get the teenager to and from safely — and only to and from those places approved by the parents — is the “chauffeur.” This removes the teenager from behind the wheel entirely, however, and, what’s more, the cost of a chauffeur seems safely above my price range.

    Must consider further….

  2. “new driver”?! Nevermind that, it could probably help most drivers if they’re willing to pay attention… The rules and courtesies that people ignore are just shocking sometimes.

Occasionally when I’m driving along, I’ll become aware of the machine that I am controlling and be completely amazed that someone saw it fit to authorise me to use such a thing.

  3. Curmudgeon, I like to cater for my colonial readers…. ;-)

I do occasionally get the feeling of ‘how does this thing work?’ when driving at high speeds…..it soon goes away & I go back to sleep….

  4. “Colonial,” eh? Hmmmmm. Sound of foot tapping…..

Thought balloon: Maybe I’ll ask Claire to give me an appropriate rejoinder….

  5. Oh, she’ll have something I’m sure
