I know I do – as your cursor passes over a page, preview windows sprout up unrequested all over. Well, thanks to this great tip from J-Walk, simply visit this page and put an end to them!
It works too

I didn’t know what it was — now I’ve lost five minutes following the links to see what the problem was.
I’m thinking it’s time to run up the cocktail flag on the yacht.
You’ve not encountered these little ‘Snap Preview’ windows yet? Count yourself lucky, they’re a scourge…
Is it Pimms o’clock?
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
I find them annoying and obtrusive. They cover the content I’m trying to read without asking me if it’s ok.
They’re like pop-up ads all over again.
I’m undecided. I use the feature on my site, but I have to say that it was on an experimental basis (pretty much sums up most of the stuff on my site!).
It is a nice idea, to see in advance what you could be clicking on (albeit in mini form), but I also comprehend the intrusiveness that it posts. Six of one, and all that…
It’s a fair point Skytower, I just don’t like the fact they’re not optional when I’m browsing.
I do use the ‘CoolIris’ extension for Firefox, which does exactly the same thing, but only when ‘I’ want to. Recommended.
I dont like them at all.
Oh pimms o clock! i say yes!
Snap Preview is just wrong …
So wrong that i blogged about it …
World without Snap Preview …
is a better world …
