I managed to do another 11 miles this morning on the cycle path running past our village, which makes it just over 30 in a week now. Nothing special as I know some people do that in a day, but I’m working my way up from 0, so it’s a start, and it only took me just over an hour which isn’t a bad pace.
The biggest problem I’m suffering is my old bones on this rough track. I have an old mountain bike with no suspension, and when you hit a bump you certainly feel every last bit of it. There’s a section of the track that has lost it’s top covering of grit, and it’s just the exposed granite stones that are left showing, so it’s just giving my bum too much of a battering (this post is going to show up in some strange Google searches now!), so I’m saving up for this:

Mmm, full suspension, 18 gears….. So, if anyone would like my Paypal address for donations to the ‘Save Chris’ bum’ campaign, just let me know…. ![]()

If you want us to save it, you should post a picture of it!! Then everyone will now the horror I face…….
Bike+you+dress= charity money!
Bum battering, i am saying nothing!
*lol* I hope you’re not like the cyclists we get here. they take up half the lane on roads (instead of riding on the pedestrian/cycle paths) and act all high and mighty because they’re not polluting the environment the way all us evil, car-driving fiends are.
Claire, I am not indulging your twisted guy in a dress fetish…..
Rav’N not at all, I can’t stand these cyclists who think black clothes and no lights is a sensible approach to riding at night either.
I do most of my riding down the old railway, which is now a cycle track. Mind you, we could do with it as a railway again now….
Hi Claire, if you’re complaining about ‘cycling butt’, you should check out the following story
