I don’t care if you do write hand-crafted comments that are actually relevant to the post contents: If you sign your name ‘inflatables’, ‘pistons’ or ‘Caribbean holidays’ instead of a real name then I’m tagging you for the spammer that you are.

The way WordPress works, then pretty soon any comment you leave on a WordPress blog will go straight to spam.

It’s not worth your time as the SEO benefits are non-existent, it pisses people off and puts you on a blacklist-you have been warned.

No Spam!

OK, the blog has now been transferred to a new host, and things appear to be relatively normal.

A couple of things aren’t working, but I’ll try and fix them, but if you see anything else please let me know.

Camel
Camel by Steve Phillips

I know that this story is really a tragedy, but given that we all have to go sometime, there are ways best avoided.

A camel bought for a womans 60th birthday by her family, got somewhat over-heated and decided to get down with her for some ‘good lovin’, and unfortunately smothered her to death. In the words of the Queensland Police:

“I’d say it’s probably been playing, or it may be even a sexual sort of thing,”

Like I say, we’ve all got to go, but hopefully my demise will be slightly more peaceful than being crushed by an over-amorous foul smelling & spitting creature….

The lunatic in this video is the proud holder of the record for the ‘Most spiders on a body for 30 seconds’ with 126 Golden Orb Spiders being part of the supporting cast:

I ask again, how do you learn you can do something like this? I walked out the front door the other day to be savagely attacked by a garden spider about 1/4 inch across and the sense of panic when it landed on my shirt is something that will live with me for a long time.

Rav’N you live in a strange country….

I’ve never had so many comments on one post……

We had a good trip, plenty of rain but it never really got in our way, and as you can see on the news it could have been a lot worse.

The tent’s drying in the garage, I’ve got hundreds of photos to download, 500 emails to run through, and countless posts to read. It will be a full time job just to catch up!

Still, at least the delightful Ms Pitt‘s back online!

More tomorrow!

This is what they might say:

Dogs diary:

  • 8:00 am – Dog food! My favorite thing!
  • 9:30 am – A car ride! My favorite thing!
  • 9:40 am – A walk in the park! My favorite thing!

Cats Diary

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

Genius :-D More to read here.

Pinksy!

Pinksy

With 104 comments in February, it was a sterling effort, and the trophy is well deserved even though 40 of them came on the 1st ;-)

Who will win this month? Does anyone care? 31 days, and a relentless torrent of throwaway posts ought to keep you going.

Remember, anyone on the ‘Most Hot Air’ list to the left has a free link to the blog or website – apart from Steph and Alison who are on there now, because they’re too lazy to have their own sites….

Was bloody awful. About 2pm UK time my webhost went down – everything, the whole MidPhase/ANHosting opertation, their sales sites, help site, my blogs the lot.

It came back a couple of hours later, but my blogs were both broken as some of you may have noticed – there were errors on the page, comments couldn’t be left, all sorts.

Everything seems OK now, but I do have a couple of behind the scenes database issues, mainly concerned with Firestats – this was the plugin that gave the little browser icons & flags next to your user names in comments.

Please, if you get any errors, or see anything odd, let me know in a comment or, if that’s the problem, by email at thermalblog@gmail.com.

Thanks, and thanks for coming back!
