I have travelled to mainland Europe a lot in my life, mainly sticking to the Western European countries - at the time we were having family holidays when I was a child, there seemed to be a real chance that Eastern Europe could be invading at any day, so we didn’t venture too far that way! All of that is thankfully long in the past now, Eastern Europe is well and truly opened up to tourism, and one of the most attractive places to head for is Bulgaria. Bulgaria is about to join the EU, and as a result, the country is likely to take off in style as a destination, with direct flights from the UK, and it could be a brilliant time to invest in property in Bulgaria. With sandy beaches on the Black Sea, a warm climate in Summer, and great skiing in Winter, it could be a great place to visit.
