Curmudgeon was confused by my recent mention of a bourbon biscuit (happens a lot at his age), so without further ado (if I see one more blogger write ‘further adieu’ I shall do something quite unnecessary) here it is:
It’s a cookie biscuit not unlike an Oreo (which I also love), but not as bitter. It dates from 1910 and is allegedly named after the House of Bourbon, not the alcoholic beverage 
They are very nice dipped in coffee (as are Oreos) and are my all time favourite biscuit. What’s yours?

EW oreoes in COFFEE Yuck, Its milk. Try it sometime!
I’ve tried them in milk, it’s just meh. They don’t go soft enough-why don’t you try coffee? You may be surprised….
