Regular readers will know that I’m always suggesting new ways to improve your sites links, rating and traffic etc. Well there’s another new web links directory just started up, but with a new twist and the chance of being something big: Big Web Links Directory.
The premise is simple: the directory is ranked by the financial contribution of the site listed: The minimum amount to get a site listed is $29,90 and you can choose from one of the many categories to be listed in. If the next site in your category contributes $32 they will be listed ahead of you. You can then contribute $3 more to regain your position and so on. The beauty of the system is, that once listed anyone can contribute as little as one dollar, or more if they wish. Instead of a ‘tip jar’ on your site, as a lot of bloggers do for example, have a contribution link to Big Web Links Directory, and people can help you that way. This is a much more democratic way of listing sites by real popularity amongst it’s visitors, rather than page rank, or impressions etc.
As well as in your chosen category, your link will also appear on the home page of your site and in the Top 20 links page if your contribution is high enough. Currently, you would only need $43 to hit the No.1 spot on the front page! With people earning more money than ever from their websites, this directory could prove to be a good investment of some of that money. It’s being heavily promoted and is aiming to get a good Google Page Rank soon, so may be worth investing some of your site income in, to increase your web exposure.
