This is an excellent idea from the geniuses at ThinkGeek: The Powersquid:

Why? Well if your PC area is anything like mine, you not only have the PC power cords, but printers, scanners, desk lamps, cordless phone points, mobile chargers etc. etc. and the trend these days seems to be for each one to have a huge power adaptor, instead of a straightforward plug.

These huge clunky things (the one for my new HP printer is about 3″ long) just don’t want to fit together on a standard power bar, and you either have to get involved in electrical origami, or get a second adaptor. The Squid takes care of that by simply moving the sockets to the end of a flexible lead, simple but effective.

Now if they’d only sell one for the UK market……
