My blogs are all hosted with ANHosting, a part of MidPhase (and no, they’re not getting a link) and they are the reason my sites have been unavailable the last 9-10 hours.

Planned maintenance apparently, scheduled for 7 hours, but no one site should be affected that long – my arse!

They had a 99% uptime promise when I joined, but since late December 06, my blogs have been down for over 50 hours that I’m aware of – do the maths if you will, but I don’t think that adds up.

I look forward to moving to a new host when my subscription is up (and maybe before, much as I hate to lose money) and I wish I’d never picked them – shame they’re listed on the main WordPress site as suitable hosts.

My opinion? Use a different host if you’re looking – and if anyone has any recommendations, fire away…..

Webfusion have been pretty good for me, but they bloody ought to be for 10 quid a month!

can’t help with any suggestion but I have noticed all the down time. they sound like a really sucky host

Bit steep Pinksy, do you host anything else on that webspace?

i use it for other stuff i try out codewise, but i just never seem to get round to finding somewhere cheaper.

You aren’t the only one I’ve heard say bad about AN. I ended up going with hostican, and after two weeks I have no complaints. 6 minutes of downtime one day, and they ban Digg, but no other beefs.
