A Hot Toaster
File this under ‘I want one’:

This is one of the winning entries in a design competition, and would be such a cool thing (or hot) to have on the breakfast table. It’s ceramic, and the elements are contained within the slot at the end. Small rubber wheels are belt driven to push the toast through, and it drops straight into the rack provided.
There’s lots more info about it on the Designboom website, but this is one of those cool designs that I would actually buy. As long as it wasn’t too expensive that is…..

Except it only toasts one at a time, unless of course it’s very fast. Where do you put the bun rack?

I think it’s near instant, the elements actually heat up the ceramic.
Is that a loaded question about the bun rack?

Wow! That is pretty cool! I want one too. The only forseeable problem is if you have homemade bread or bread that wouldn’t hold itself up through that thing…

I like my multiple slices of warm toast done all at the same time. None of this cold toast in the rack stuff for me!

Nooooo - everyone knows the best way to have toast is stone cold with at least an inch thick slab of butter (insert appropriate Homer sounds here)
